Since the 1980s, Howard Eaton Lighting Ltd has provided specialist lighting, effects and technical solutions for CATS, supporting productions from the original West End and Broadway shows through to touring and international versions up to the present day.

HELL’s contributions have included lighting design support and the development of numerous bespoke effects, such as illuminated Cats’ eyes, tyre lighting, oven lighting and integrated smoke effects, fibre optic elements, air cannons, atmospheric fog systems and controlled pyrotechnic effects. These elements were engineered to meet the unique visual demands of the production while remaining robust, repeatable and suitable for long-running shows and touring environments.
